內容簡介: 博客來網路書局 Maggie Tulliver, impulsive and imaginative, lives in a small English village with her family. She loves her brother deeply, but he does not understand her, so she befriends a boy who her brother disapproves of, leading to tragic consequences. ‘Penguin Readers‘ is a series of simplified novels, film novelizations and original titles that introduce students at all levels to the pleasures of reading in English. Originally designed for teaching English as a foreign language, the series' combination of high interest level and low reading age makes it suitable for both English-speaking teenagers with limited reading skills and students of English as a second language. Many titles in the series also博客來網路書店 provide access to the pre-20th century literature strands of the National Curriculum English Orders. ‘Penguin Readers‘ are graded at seven levels of difficulty, from ‘Easystarts‘ with a 200-word vocabulary, to Level 6 (Advanced) with a 3000-word vocabulary. In addition, titles fall into one of three sub-categories: ‘Contemporary‘, ‘Classics‘ or ‘Originals‘. At the end of each book there is a section of enjoyable exercises focusing on vocabulary building, comprehension, discussion and writing. Some titles in the series are available with an accompanying audio cassette, or in a book and cassette pack. Additionally, selected titles have free accompanying ‘Penguin Readers Factsheets‘ which provide stimulating exercise material for students, as well as suggestions for teachers on how to exploit the Readers in class.

謝志忠對戰江啟臣 反課綱議題槓上

中國時報【趙麗妍╱台中報導】

台中市立委第8選區，泛綠整合成功，確定由現任台中市議員謝志忠，對戰尋求連任的國民黨籍立委江啟臣。謝志忠4日首度開炮，質疑立委江啟臣是順應「馬意」的立委，故在反課綱的議題上，拒絕表態；江啟臣表示，課綱不是政治人物攀上權力的鷹架，政治人物在這個議題上，應自我節制。

謝志忠指出，江啟臣是總統馬英九派駐參選的刺客之一，4年來，江僅能是個乖乖牌，當個順應「馬意」的立委，並非「民意」代表，故在反課綱議題上，拒絕表態！

江啟臣發出聲明，強調自己是鄉親指派到中央發聲的代表！課綱問題，台灣是開放社會，網路輸入關鍵字，維基百科告訴你的，遠比一本課本來的多，歷史是時代眾人主觀的集合，應該盡量開放多元，理性對話，不要驟下結論，傾聽比下結論更重要。
